10/29/2008 - preterhuman.net status update

I have worked out pricing at a local datacenter to get our main servers back online. I will temporarily be hosting the DNS and secondary web server at a remote location to help save on the colocation expense until the site generates enough income to sustain the added cost. I am expecting to have the main servers online before January 2009.

Upcoming changes to expect
I will be experimenting with banner advertising on select pages to assist with the server hosting. This site will always be free, but unfortunately it must become self sustaining in order for it to survive. The available bandwidth to the server will be reduced to 10Mbit as compared to the 100Mbit uplink it was previously hosted on. That bandwidth will be shared between the web server, the KDX server, and the legacy Hotline server.

Please forward any questions regarding the site to plezica@gmail.com
