                       ....How I F----- a SuperModel
A TRUE Story of Sex, Lies, and CyberCrime

YOU'RE A MODEL? OH THAT'S NICE

¦ I think maybe I suffer from tunnel-vision having never been outside
the United States, but when I think about it.........whose suffering.
The US, per capita, has more beautiful women than all the other nations
of the world put together, and its really no surprise. I mean, with the
power of the almighty dollar, which flows through the US like water out
of burst water main, women can, literally, be all that they can be. I
mean, a tuck here, a pull there, and injection under the armpit...in
this country, damn near any women can achieve some level of physical
beauty even if they weren't born with it, and thus is the point of this
cynical little quip: Beautiful women grow on trees. They're everywhere,
there's nothing special about them. A beautiful woman in the US is
  simply just another pretty face.

¦ With so many pretty faces running around, I always had to laugh out
loud (to myself) when I met a girl who told me she was a QUOTE model
UNQUOTE. As I gasped in (insincere) surprise "You are!", I was really
thinking to myself "Uh-huh, you mean one of those new unpaid kind?"

¦ Anyway, I just find it funny that every slightly photogenic little
girl with an appointment with LoDo Modeling Agency has the nerve to
fashion themselves a model. You're just not all that....you're just a
pretty little girl with unrealistic dreams, and while its nice to meet
you, don't bother putting yourself on a pedestal, cuz you're not all
that and never could be!......................Or could you?

MEET ALTHEA

¦ An American born German who speaks with a slight accent, the product
of her Native-German Speaking parents. 5'11', 129 pounds, with flowing
blonde hair all the way down her back. Deep green eyes, shaded by long
dark eyelashes. Thick pinkish-red lips, which part to reveal the Arctic
white enamel of perfectly straight teeth. Regal features and a perfect
complexion, not a flaw or foible apparent. 19 years old and a high
school drop-out.  Well not exactly...actually she found high school
boring and pursued college after tenth grade.  At 19 she's a college
Junior double Majoring in Psychology and Communications. Oh yeah, and
  she's a model...

"Oh really, with what agency?"  "Oh it's just a local agency...they're
not very big but they have a great photographer. You should come by some
time and see my portfolio."

¦ And she wasn't lying either. Her agency had a REALLY great
photographer, I mean the shoot was excellent. By all rights the
photographer should have hit the big time by now, but then again maybe
good photographers are a dime a dozen too. In any event I was truly
impressed by this QUOTE Models pictures. So impressed, in fact, I think
I'll stop saying QUOTE and UNQUOTE every time I mention her profession.

¦ After getting to know this girl for a whopping week, I began thinking
to myself "this girl could really hit the big time." And wouldn't that
be cool. I could tell everyone that I "knew her when"........or maybe
even "I screwed her when...," or better yet, "I made her what she is
today." In any event, my palette was whet to involve myself with this
young lady, and involve myself with her is just what I was going to do.

DECEPTION AND THE CYBERCRIME

  > Part 1 - Hook

¦ One of the biggest pick-up lines for hitting on a model is to say that
you are, or know a big time agent.  But the fact is, I really did know a
big time agent.  She was practically a member of the family, and worked
for THE leading talent agency in the United States, ICM.  Her client
list read like a whose who of super stars, Janet Jackson, Patti LaBelle,
Deion Sanders, Naomi Campbell, Stevie Wonder, Michael Bivens...when I
told Althea about it, she was definitely intrigued.......although none
the-less weary. Afterall, who was I, and why should she believe me, and
why would I help her, and what did I expect from her in return.  While I
had my foot in the door, it was apparent that this method of pursuit, be
it legitimate (since I really do know a big time agent) was not exactly
  the best way to proceed.

¦ I came to the conclusion that a girl likes the type of guy who put his
money where his mouth is.....a man who puts up or shuts up, and so
that's just what I decided to do.  I could tell Althea anything, but if I
had something to show her things would no doubt be different.

¦ Ever since I began using computers (umpteen years ago) I've had a
passion for Graphic Designing. Now, despite the fact that the extent
of my professional Graphic Design experience consists of doctoring up a
few Birth Certificates and creating bogus academic transcripts for the
many high school drop-outs I call friends, I still had plenty of
capability. Enough capability in fact to have published work.  This in
mind, I partook on my goal to SHOW Althea something.... something that
would impress her....something that would go far in involving me in her
  life.

¦ Now, keep in mind, Althea already has these really great pictures from
various photo shoots. And here I am with all the skills in the world to
be a Graphic Designer. What do you thinks gonna happen? I mean that's
way too much potential for something NOT to happen. So now then,
imagine: what if Althea were to have her own portfolio FULL of
advertising shoots she had done for various WELL KNOWN corporations in
the fashion industry. Do you think it might help her carrer? Do you
think she'd be interested in something like that?...naaah (yeah right).

"Althea, can I borrow your portfolio, I have an idea for something you
just might like." "Really, what is it?" "Well....I want it to be a
surprise." "Ummm...ok, come on over and get it."

¦ So I went over her apartment and got her portfolio. I also grabbed
every current issue of the dozen or so fashion magazines she subscribed
to and had laying around her place. I went home and put my plan into
  effect.

  > Part 2 - Line

¦ First I used a Hewlett-Packard scanner and scanned fifteen of her best
pictures. What a pain in the ass this was...fifteen, 7"x9" color photos
scanned at 2400 DPI in 16 million colors. It took damn near five hours
and 1 gigabyte of hard drive space. (I better get some ass after this
anyway...) Next, I went through the fashion mags--Vogue, Mademoiselle,
Essence, and a half a dozen others--and pulled out various
advertisements--generally ones in which logos, lettering, or products
could be easily manipulated upon scanning. I ended up scanning some good
targets: Chanel No. 5, Esprit, Doc Marten, No Fear, Christian
Dior,Victoria's Secret, things were falling into place.  Using these
scanned logos and lettering, Althea's scanned photos, and the original
ads as references, I proceeded to put together the portfolio of a
professional model....one who had done major shoots for the fashion
industries leading companies.  A week later, I had pushed Corel Draw and
Adobe Photoshop to the limit but had a very nice finished product. I
had, what looked like six-color process lithographs from various shoots
Althea had done. It was beautiful, it looked as though she really had
modeled for Doc Marten, Chanel No. 5, Yves, even though she had never
done a lick of professional modelling.

¦ I sent fifteen exported '.bmp' documents on disks to a local Service
Bureau. In three days they had for me fifteen glossy 11" x 17" color
dye-sublimation prints from a Textronik Phaser 440 at a mere cost of
$38/print. Good thing I had pre-arranged to have them invoice my company
which had been in business for 9 years and was using this Service for
the first time afer being dissatisfied with the service of their leading
competitors ;>. When I was all through, it was time to see Althea.

  > Part 3 - and Sinker

"Oh my God! (kiss) How did you...(kiss, kiss) Oh my God these are so
beautiful! (kiss, tears of joy, kiss) I cant believe this! (kiss) Oh my
God, what did you do!?! (kiss) How can I ever thank you! (french kiss)"
"I'm sure you'll think of something."

¦ The next morning, when we got up, she made me breakfast ;>. She still
couldn't believe the pictures, and couldn't stop expressing her joy in
the form of affection. I assured her it was nothing, but that there was
still plenty to do. I mean, it was cool and all to have these fake liths,
but to complete this illusion we needed a full complement of paperwork
as well. I explained to her exactly what I was talking about, and she
suggested that we spend more time together so she could help. "Good
idea." (I wonder if I've involved myself in her life yet? ;>.)

¦ Althea at my side, I began creating a her new ResumŽ, and let me tell
I was as thorough as auditor. I went to Barnes & Noble Booksellers and
got three books, Whose Who In International Modelling (US$55.95),
Breaking Into Modeling (US$34.95) and Sex Sells (US$67.95). From the
first book I got the names of well known and accomplished photographers
in the fashion industry. I took notes, writing down biographicals and
work history on a number of them. I handed the book over to Althea so
she could "get to know them" as well and I then began reading Breaking
Into Modelling.  From this book I got an idea for what format a model's
Publicity Kit should have, i.e. what it should consist of and what
information it should contain for the greatest impact. Meanwhile,
Althea read through Sex Sells, which is an inside look at the dynamics
of modelling.  She found it very insightful.

¦ After I had processed all of my newly acquired information, I
proceeded to put it all together and create'Althea Gray's Publicity Kit'
Over the next seven days she moved in with me as I put together this
fraudlent piece of work. Man I felt terrible ;>. This thing was fraught
with bogus information on jobs she had supposedly done with people she
had never even seen, let alone met or worked with.  God, if it hadnÕt
have been so much fun I would've felt guilty. I literally made a nobody
(she was a very nice person, but a nobody very nice person) into a
somebody-- a professional model (on paper), even though she had never
had a paid modeling job in her life. By the time I finished she was
ready to have a long talk with her boyfriend............ex-boyfriend.
  Afterwards...

"Well Thea, this is it, are you sure wanna do this?" "I don't know, I
mean, Itrust your judgment...I mean...if you think I should just send my
real ResumŽ then lets just do that.....whatever you think is best."

¦ Remember that friend of the family who works at ICM?

"Hi I got the Publicity Kit, and I think it's great! I love this Doc
Marten shoot. What's her name, Althea?" "Yeah, Althea Gray." "She is
really beautiful...how long have you two been dating." "A couple of
months.  I went to school with her." "Oh really, well she is beautiful, I
love this Christian Dior shoot too. I need to fax her some contracting
and severance information so we can get her out of her old contract
O.K.?....in fact, tell her I'll be contacting her later this week so she
can fly out and meet with me directly.  Would you like to come too?"

  ¦ And that. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . was that!

CONCLUSION

¦ Talk about making something out of nothing. I meet a beautiful girl,
apply a little quid-pro-quo, hit it, and leave her with her very own
professional modelling career. Isn't life grand.  Anyway, that's all she
wrote for this one, I hope you enjoyed it. Remember, you can be anything
you can make someone believe you are....create your own opportunities.
